My first ever videogame console was a Pikachu Game Boy Advance SP. My first ever game I had to play with it was Lego Star Wars. It's actually harder in many ways compared to today's Lego games. In this game, you have a stamina meter for your character's special ability (Force Push, Lightsaber Throw, Grenade, etc.). You also have a lot more hearts, but you have to start over from the last entrance if you die; there is an upgrade you can buy in some levels that give you extra hearts and an extra life. Combine all this, and the smallest ever selection of characters that don't even have General Grievous, and you got yourself the hardest traditional Lego game ever developed by Tt Games!
Now let's cut to today. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga can be considered one of the absolute greatest games ever made by Tt; a timeless classic for those who love Star Wars. To celebrate almost 20 years of this beloved toy franchise, I want to propose a new game called "Lego Star Wars: The NEW Complete Saga!"
"So what's so 'new' about this game?"
All the characters have been revamped to match their latest appearances in Lego Star Wars sets.
NEW Chapters and Voice Acting!
In the original Complete Saga, each episode had six playable chapters. This time, I've decided to lift the restriction, and give full freedom in presenting the story of each episode. I always felt disappointed that the game before never mentioned Anakin's return to Tatooine in Episode II, or the duel between Yoda and Darth Sidious in Episode III. All cutscenes now have voice acting from the movies, and there will be extra scene clips that don't relate to action. These clips are easily skippable if you don't wanna bore yourself with Episode I's politics, and is accessable through Story Mode and the Hub's Shop Menu.
There are some new characters to make the game all the more expansive. Whether they be alternate versions of guys you already know, or completely new people, this game has it!Darth Maul (hoodless)
I found it alittle peeving that Darth Maul never removed his cowl in the Lego games. Wouldn't all those drapes and such get in the way, and get burned by the clashing of lightsaber blades? Again, this is a very minor asthetic difference.Anakin Skywalker (Sith)
Here we go! We finally get to see the monster Anakin had become in Lego form! This one goes alittle further than just asthetics, as this Anakin can force choke enemies and manipulate black objects using the Dark Side of the Force.Barriss Offee
The apprentice of Jedi Master Luminara Unduli was made popular thanks to her relationship with Ashoka Tano during the Clone Wars. Luminara was playable in the original Complete Saga, but not Barriss.Anakin Skywalker (Ghost) (Special Edition)
Who else was confused when they first watched the original Return of the Jedi, then played the game only to see Hayden Christensen's poltergeist face in it? That was because I had no idea George Lucas went so far as to make the dumbest, most pointless Special Edition change since...the idea of a Special Edition! However, I appreciate when those changes are to make things look smoother with CGI, or to match continuity with the prequels like editing out Vader's eyebrows. To give to both opinions of the Special Edition coin, I've split Ghost Anakin into his Origional and Special Edition counterparts.
Other examples include...
- Young Rancor
- Nute Gunray
- Poggle the Lesser
- Boba Fett (Holiday Special)
- Darth Plagueis [only unlockable via cheat code]
Let's face it, it's right around the corner. To make the game all the more special, Episode VII "The Force Awakens"
, will also be fully playable in the game! Now you can play as characters like Finn, Rey, BB-8, Kylo Ren, and more with the rest of your favorite Star Wars characters!
Like all of today's Lego games, I have special DLC in mind for the New Complete Saga. Hopefully, it will be AVAILABLE FOR WII U, THIS TIME! For Pete Sake, Tt, have you got no pity for Nintendo?
Each pack will contain three new chapters, and an unspecified amount of new characters.
